Perhaps the most common problem is that you have forgotton your username and/or password and can't login to your account to get registered.
This is not an account you use every day, so we get that.
But help is available to get you through this hurdle. Here is what you can do to get going.
- Make sure you are using the correct USERNAME. You would be surprised how may people I've helped, only to discover they've been using the wrong username!
- Reset your password.
TIP: Are you 100% sure you remember your username? If not, then use the first tool to retrieve it, because you will need your correct username to use the second tool to reset your password. It only takes a minute or two, and can save you some frustration later on.
1. Use the 'Forgot your Username?' tool to RETRIEVE YOUR USERNAME
After clicking "Sign In or Sign Up", click on "Forgot your Username?"
On the next screen, enter your EMAIL ADDRESS, perform the Captcha Test, and click Submit.
If you get an error message that says, "Reminder failed: User not found", it means that we could not find an account with that email address, so you either signed up with a different email address or you don't have an account set up yet on this website.
Otherwise, wait a minute or so and then check your email. It will look something like this:

Hello,
A username reminder has been requested for your Far Western District Events account.
Your username is ********. (Your username here)
To login to your account, select the link below.
https://events.farwesterndistrict.org/login

If you do NOT receive this email, be sure to check your SPAM or JUNK MAIL folder. AOL, YAHOO, MSN and HOTMAIL have a tendency to put it there.
If the username in the message different that wnat you thought it was, try logging in with the correct username.
Otherwise the problem is that you forgot your password, so try using the next tool to reset it.
2. Use the 'Forgot your Password?' tool to RESET YOUR PASSWORD
After clicking "Sign In or Sign Up", click on "Forgot your Password?"
On the next screen, enter your EMAIL ADDRESS, perform the Captcha Test, and click Submit.
If you get an error message that says, "Reset password failed: Invalid email address", it means that we could not find an account with that email address, so you either signed up with a different email address or you don't have an account set up yet on this website.
Otherwise, wait a minute or so and then check your email. It will look something like this:

A request has been made to reset your Far Western District Events account password. To reset your password, you will need to submit this verification code in order to verify that the request was legitimate.

Once you have the email, you have two options:
- Copy the verification code from the email message, and paste it into the field on the screen shown below.
- Click the LINK in the email message, and you will get a new screen with the verification code already pasted in for you.
In either case you need to enter your USERNAME (not your email address), so please make SURE you know what it is, or you will get and error ... and more frustrated!
Once you have entered your username and the verification code, click Submit.
This will take you to the LAST screen, where you can enter a new password. You need to enter it a second time, because you can't see what you are typing, so entering it a second time halps to make sure it is correct.
Enter your NEW password in both fields, and click Submit. The will save your new password, and you will be able to log in to your account.
After this, you'll know your username and password. We encourage you to keep that information in a safe place so you will remember it next time. :-)
